Code of Conduct

An important part of our culture is recognising that doing business with integrity is a shared responsibility of everyone at Hikma. As such, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all facets of our business.

Code of conduct Our Code of Conduct (CoC) provides an overview of the legal, regulatory and ethical requirements and expectations for our employees, partners and those that we do business with.

We are committed to conducting our business with the highest ethical standards and responsibility, with no tolerance for bribery or corruption of any form. Hikma implements strong measures to prevent, deter, and detect bribery and corruption across all parts of its business.

Hikma has established a comprehensive anti-bribery framework that includes robust prevention measures, due diligence processes for third-party relationships, and reporting mechanisms, as well as providing channels for reporting any suspected violations.

Hikma's auditing and monitoring programme involves collaboration across various internal and external functions to ensure effective oversight and compliance. Multiple internal functions play a crucial role in monitoring compliance, maintaining quality and process integrity, and ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies. Internal and external audits provide independent assessments of Hikma's operations, thereby validating our various compliance efforts.

This integrated approach aims to create a resilient framework which upholds the highest ethical standards, and promotes transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Our Code of Conduct sets out behaviours we expect from our employees as we conduct our business, and provides an overview of our legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.

Our Code of Conduct provides guidance to our employees and partners on the ethics of Hikma’s business activities through the identification and discussion of various risks associated with the business.

Hikma employees, officers and directors are trained on the Code of Conduct as part of their induction and employment. All employees undergo annual refresher training.

We believe in promoting a culture of compliance that encourages employees and third parties to raise any concerns about alleged violations of laws and regulations, or other behaviours or incidents that they believe, in good faith, do not comply with our Code of Conduct or Company policies and procedures.

Hikma is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want employees to feel comfortable in approaching their supervisors, management or Human Resources in instances where they believe violations of policies or standards have occurred or may occur.

In situations where reporters prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, our Speak Up platform provides both internal and external stakeholders a resource to raise concerns (confidentially and anonymously). Reports to the Speak-Up line may be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in multiple languages via our hotline, hosted by Ethics Point.
