Upgrading to more efficient lighting

Our Columbus, Ohio, facility continues to implement projects to improve energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions.

The most notable in 2018 was the installation of LED lighting at the site. By replacing fluorescent tubes with more efficient LED lights, we have halved the energy use for lighting the facility. We installed 1,625 fixtures, replacing 6,500 fluorescent tubes, which resulted in energy savings of almost 800,000 kWh per year and a carbon reduction of around 360 tCO2e¹.
