As part of our efforts to improve environmental stewardship, we completed construction of a wastewater treatment unit in Egypt in 2018 that will reduce wastewater effluents at the manufacturing facility by up to 90%.

The wastewater treatment unit has a maximum capacity of 200 m3 of treated water per day and uses the treated water for irrigation, which has the added benefit of reducing domestic water use at the facility by 15%.
In Tunisia, we successfully upgraded and renovated our sewage infrastructure to reduce water consumption and our environmental impact. The treatment unit isolates industrial wastewater from the facility’s rainwater and sanitary water, enabling us to treat and reuse wastewater from production. The sewage treatment project not only improves the environmental footprint of our facility but also reduces operating costs.
