Amman, 16 March 2020 - Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (Hikma Group), the multinational pharmaceutical company, announces a four-year, $100,000 commitment annually to Save the Children in Jordan to support the Transforming Refugee Education towards Excellence (TREE) initiative, a programme with the mission to equip Jordanian teachers with skills to deliver effective teaching, strengthen teachers’ resilience to trauma, and help students suffering from trauma overcome challenges.

Launched in 2019, TREE aims to benefit 1,350 teachers and reach 745,000 individuals over five years
through a systems-wide teacher-training programme centred on incorporating compassion into
education. TREE is an initiative of Save the Children and the MIT Abdul Latif Jameel World Education
Lab (J-WEL) in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Education, Community Jameel and Dubai
Hana Darwazeh Ramadan, Global VP of Corporate Social Responsibility at Hikma, said: “We are looking
